Our Pharmacists 

Rebecca Porter, PharmD

Rebecca started with Alpine Pharmacy in 2018 and has loved the experience of growing with the team since then! She is passionate about providing personalized and high-quality patient care. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Regis University, and her Bachelors in Biochemistry from Pepperdine University. Outside of the pharmacy, you can find her running, hiking, skiing, camping, or returning to Minnesota where she grew up to spend time with her family.

Matt Hill, PharmD

Matt grew up in a small suburb of Des Moines, Iowa.  After graduating from the University of Iowa in 2002 he moved to Denver and started a career with Walgreens.  After spending 20 years in the retail setting as a pharmacy manager he made the choice to switch gears and join the Alpine team in June 2022.  As each month passes he is getting more acquainted with long term care pharmacy and has become a nice asset to our homes.  He enjoys helping the technicians and trouble shooting problems that might arise.  In his free time he is slightly obsessed with Dave Matthews Band, Stephen King, and spending time outdoors.  He considers himself a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, one in college and one in high school.

Ryan Kassmeier, PharmD

Ryan Kassmeier is a staff pharmacist at Alpine pharmacy. He grew up in Nebraska and earned his PharmD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Ryan started his career in retail pharmacy and has gained experience in many different pharmacy settings from hospice to hospital to skilled nursing and mail order. Ryan has enjoyed becoming a part of the team at Alpine Pharmacy and learning the different aspects of each of the facilities they provide service to. After graduating in Nebraska, Ryan was called to Colorado by the mountains and the activities they provide. When not at work he can be found skiing or hiking with his wife and two dogs or taking in some live music.

Johna Bezdek Thaut, PharmD

Johna is a Colorado native who spends her free time hiking, attending concerts, and relaxing at her cabin in Fairplay. She attended CU Boulder and received her Bachelors in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology before going to pharmacy school. Johna started with Alpine Pharmacy in September of 2020 and was the pharmacy intern for four years while in pharmacy school. Johna received her Doctor of Pharmacy from CU Anschutz Medical Campus in the spring of 2024 and is now in her new role as a pharmacist. She looks forward to continuing her time in the long-term care setting and to growing alongside the rest of the team.

Kang Ho, PharmD

Kang was born and raised in Taiwan and moved to the US southwest.  He eventually settled in the Four Corners region before graduating pharmacy school at the University of New Mexico.  After graduation, Kang completed a postgraduate pharmacy residency in Wheat Ridge, CO and has been in practice locally since.  His professional experience lies deep within community, acute-care, and long term care practice.  Upon the launch of Alpine Pharmacy in 2018, he has taken pride in staff and service development, as well as the dedicated partnerships and support created in conjunction with the local long term care community in providing multidisciplinary care for patients.  Kang’s personal hobbies include spending time with family, within the outdoors, traveling, and an appreciation of gastronomy.
